A week skiing in Meribel

Booking my personal ski holiday this year was going to be a challenge; it was a mixed ability (complete beginner to expert), mixed sex (school mates and girlfriend!), group of people all on a budget and looking for plenty of evening entertainment. Meribel was chosen as the destination.

March Festivals in Meribel

Spring skiing has always had its advantages – the days are longer, the lifts are open later, the snow is still good and the temperatures are warm enough to sit outside at the end of the day enjoying a cold beer or a vin chaud! This season the resort of Meribel is providing extra incentives for skiing at this time of year by hosting not one, but two festival extravaganzas! To be able to combine the joy of a skiing holiday with top quality evening entertainment is a fantastic opportunity and one that will make the holiday that bit more special.

Alpe d’Huez and Les 2 Alpes – Skiing Affordability Realised!

On hearing my first ski trip of the season would be to Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes my feelings were mixed. On the one hand it meant seeing two resorts and a whole range of chalets that I did not know much about, on the other hand, would they live up to the demanding standards set by the Three Valleys and Espace Killy regions?
