5 Snow Sport Movies You Must Watch

As you would expect the staff at Interactive Resorts are pretty into snow sports. All of us ski or snowboard and winter sports make up part of our individual identities. It would be fair to say that we spend a lot of time thinking about snow and being in the mountains. All this means that we watch quite a few ski and snowboard movies. These are our recommendations.

Senior sales consultant, Nick recommends ski movie All.I.Can. The film was released in 2011 after two years filming around the globe. It is famed for the street scene featuring JP Auclair, this is also the reason Nick recommended it. In fact the movie is so good that one of our dedicated snowboarders begrudgingly recommends it as her favourite snow sport movie too.

Our next movie has been suggested by our Whistler expert Will. His favourite ski film is Contrast and he has this to say about it, “Some of the most chill guys in the industry doing ridiculous stuff, and you get to see a lot of what happens behind the scenes”. Checkout the full film here.

We doubt there is a single recent snowboard movie list that doesn’t have the Art of Flight in it. In our own office poll it came top. Here is why our staff rate it so highly. Andy “it took snowboarding films to the next level”. Holly “It is beautiful and has a soundtrack to kill for”. Aimee “It’s just incredible to see what some people are capable of. They literally have no fear!”. You can find loads of clips at Artofflightmovie.com.

Sometimes you love a movie because you watch it so much it becomes a part of you. Of course it also needs to be a decent film. It is for these reasons that our Sales Manager has chosen snowboarding video, Afterbang. Matt claims to have seen it “over a hundred times, in a season”. Just from watching the trailer you can see why.

If you are looking for some vintage freeride to inspire you then you should check our retro expert’s favourite collection of moving images.  Rob suggests you watch the “blizzard if AAHs”. Filmed in 1988 it is an ode to skiing of the time. If you are after big tricks then it is not the video for you, the biggest trick is a 360°.

If those five weren’t enough then check out these other recommendations from our staff.
